The distinctive looking 9000 class have been a part of the 'Philippine National Railways' scene for a couple of years now, becoming a regular feature of passenger trains around Manila, and further afield in the province of Quezon.
They have even found themselves to be the topic of scratch building by local railway modellers.
This was the first time I got near one of these interesting locomotives, so the opportunity was taken to take a selection of detail shots for the modellers and loco fans alike.

9003 is the only one of the fleet to carry the builders number on the sides.
