MARK'S NORTHERN ADVENTURE PART 4

Dagupan (Both Stations)

I recently read an old news report about a local group who had plans to restore the first Dagupan station as a historical site and museum.
It appears that this work has not yet begun.

The first station opened in 1892, with the opening of the Manila to Dagupan Railway.
The second station was constructed (1935) when the railway was extended to La Union, as the original could not be utilised as a through station.

These walls give a great indication of how magnificent this station once was.
We can only dream of funding coming forth to restore it to it's former glory.
